Episode 12 - Assault on Kurgan Falls - RECAP + XP

▬▬ι═══════ Previous Session Recap ═══════>

• The heroes arrive at an old Graveyard amidst a cold afternoon beneath a mountain ridge. Within these confines of death they found an old soul attached to a soldier. (Korvin Selluwyn)
• A battle with Grief itself reveals the entire place is under the command of sorrow and past loss.
• Resting the prince and princess of an older time release’s greif’s curse thus allowing the entire graveyard to finally “rest”.
• Within the tomb Adelaide finds the book Korvin was sent there to destroy. A book pf pure evil.
• Orion finds a finger that wriggles and writhes.
• A reluctant Korvin agrees to join forces until he fulfills his destiny of destroying the Crown of Shadow.
  
  

▬▬ι══════Visions and Dark Portents════════>

• Visions of the Vampire, Ka’Narr, with daywalker blood gathering strength and feeding along the countryside. His ultimate goal is to enter the Tower but his feedings come first.
• Visions of constructs being assembled from huge bones. When constructed, these things reach enormous size with four arms each holding a large femur dipped in black ink, blood or paint. Singlular eye opens within a cage of bones. This eye is large and is cradled by finger like bones upon the shoulders of these large beings.
• Visions of grey humanoids who slink in and out of the darkness. The skin rough like a rhino, muscles strained. The visions reveal quickened movement through a mountainous area where they become harder to see. They are the size of a large man but within the rocks, they become very difficult to see. One may assume these are orcs and they would be wrong.

▬▬ι═══════What is Known═══════>

• The legates are released upon us. (Source Myra- Karn Buldahr Wizard)
• The elves of the North and Erethor have waged wars upon SilverAxe's thrawns. The Elves need Mithril to continue the fight. (Source Myra)
• A legate has obtained the crown of shadows. The crown of shadows can be used to infiltrate the Elves and corrupt them from within. (Source Korvin)
• A legate seeks magic, those who cast magic and any item that embues magic.
• They will stop at nothing to obtain or destroy sources of magic.
• A legate rarely exposes their true self. They use pure sorcery to trick and fool those around them.

• Be wary of the Elves.

  
  ▬▬ι═══════When We Return to the table═══════>
  

• The title of this next episode is called “The Forsaken Valley”.
• We will begin immediately with heroes descending down the mountain side toward the emissary encampment. Within the encampment there is movement. Upon Orion’s signal, elvish arrows ascend from within a structure. The arrows fling toward the rocks striking rock and flesh. Guttural howls are heard from those unfortunate enough to be pierced by these arrows.
• Meanwhile a bomb has detonated upon a bridge just south of Orion and Elfkid. Skarsgard and Korvin see the explosion and the shattering of the bridges foundation. Agnel at the base of the mountain collects his shield after surfing down and pulls his weapons. It is there he sees a terrible sight. Just before the bridge there be hulking beings of bone affixed on assaulting the encampment. They react slowly but move with a strength and power unseen before. The explosion creates a cloud of dust and shrapnel that rain down upon the pool of frigid water.
• The battle has begun…
• Extract the emissaries from this ambush and get them to Karn Buldahr. Silveraxe will stop at nothing to wipe the elves out. If the Elves don’t receive the aid of Mithril soon, they won’t have the firepower to stop his scourge from spreading and destroying whatever magic there still is left.
